Potential students are asked to come for an interview, at no charge, before any lessons are conducted.

• Albuquerque Music Teachers Association Composition Contest - September
• EMDS studio holiday CD recorded - December

Spring semester includes:

• New Mexico Federation of Music Clubs Composition Contest - January
• Students ages 12 and under participate in “Hey Mozart” Composition Contest - March
• E.M.D.S. Piano Recital - May
  • May’s recital includes theme material subject to art projects to coincide with the music composed

Summer semester includes:

• Santa Fe New Music - July
• *Projects may include working on music for a movie short to be entered in Albuquerque's “Local Shorts” film festival - July
